MALE VOICE SINGING

Traditional male voice singing began in the valleys of Wales, fuelled by the Industrial Revolution that brought men together in large numbers and the nonconformist Christianity that dominated Wales at the time. Welsh hymns therefore are an important part of any male voice choir’s repertoire but St Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir also has an eclectic and varied mix to much that it sings. Our current singing repertoire is revised annually by our musical director, Mark Jefferson.
