Before rehearsal, The Chairman led a short event to mark the sad death of Queen Elizabeth II earlier in the day by holding a minute’s silence followed by the playing of the national anthem and the singing of “Angels Watching Over Me”.

  1. Pakenham Concert 3/9/22
    1. Phil Kemp thanked the choir, Mark and Calvin for their speedy response to his call for a replacement concert due to both booked acts being unavailable through Covid.
    2. Thanks to the 17 choristers who made themselves available and to the stage crew who made and took down the staging all at short notice.
    3. We sang 16 songs, Mark and Calvin played solo piano pieces to a full church
    4. Ian read the following email thanks from Christopher Spicer:

Please will you forward to all Members of St. Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir, who took part on Saturday Evening, the heartfelt thanks from Pakenham Church. You were most professional and put on an impressive performance. We were equally spoiled by the playing of both Mark and Calvin. Our Vicar might preach about Miracles, but you certainly performed one converting from Yalda Davis and The Feverpitch Quartet within the space of one day! So, THANK you ALL, Christopher
